Terms and Conditions of E-Ticket Purchase
1- All the actions about the purchase of E-Tickets on the system, is subject to the Electronic Trade Law and Regulations and its violation will be pursued by law.
2- The Martyrs’ Families, War Disabled, Senior Citizens, University Students and Professors …may not purchase discount tickets via the system now.
3- Since passengers check-in at the airport, is acceptable with rendering tickets and the national ID Cards or passports too, thus the responsibility of correct information (name, family name, national ID number, passport number, date of validity and …) is with the passengers themselves.
4- Purchasing tickets through Iran Air website is merely possible by the Iranian debit cards at the present time. Notwithstanding, avoid purchasing tickets by gift or credit cards or cards with no names and account numbers or else Iran Air accepts no liability for the tickets refund.
5- Tickets purchased may not be transferred to other people and check-in staff will not admit passengers whose ID Cards are not matched with their tickets.
6- As to the regulations and tariffs, infants (under2years), children (under12years) and adults (above 12years) are defined. In the event of making mistakes at entering their ages and non -admittance at the airport, the responsibility is with passengers themselves.
7- The Minimum check-in time for domestic flights is 90minutes and 3 hours for international flights before departure for passengers.
8- Until further notice, all Iran Air domestic flights depart from the Terminal2, Mehrabad Airport and all Iran Air international flights depart from Emam Khomeini Airport.
9- The passenger is responsible to protect ticket number and other designated codes given by the system.
10-The passenger should have their reservation code (PNR)along with ticket number and national ID cards or passports with themselves at the airport.
11- Carriage of any dangerous goods in baggage is prohibited.
12- Holding medical clearance from the Iran Air Aero Medical Center is mandatory for the following:
– Pregnant ladies (whose pregnancy are over28weeks), passengers with cardiovascular problems, respiratory diseases, epilepsy, anemia and diabetes.
– Patients using drugs affecting the body immune system.
– Dialysis people and passengers who need help during the air travel or any conditions cause to refuse the travel.
– Patients must carry all their needed drugs with them on air travel inside their carry-on bags. Regarding carrying banned drugs they should refer to the Countries Customs Rules.

13- Passengers will be informed about purchase, refund or any flight time changes or cancellations may occur, by SMS or E-mails. Thus, the responsibility of supplying the correct mobile number and e-mail address is with the passengers themselves at booking.
14- In case of mobile number or e-mail address change, users are kindly requested to update their information on the system.
15- Charges for date or class changes and refunds are different as regards to the flight class. For more information you may refer to the page of refunds/ change terms and conditions.
16- As tickets are cancelled, the payment amount will be returned to the account (within24-72hours) in regard to banking provisions. Please contact the Iran Air Online Booking Department.

As approved by the Islamic Consultative Assembly in 1391 all passengers to/from Iran are subject to the rules of the Iranian Airlines Companies Liabilities. The rules observe and state the liabilities and responsibilities of the companies in case of accidents cause injuries and death to the passengers or their baggage damage. Therefore, the Airline of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Iran Air) is obliged to observe the rules.
The time indicated on the ticket or receipt is the departure time of flight. Passengers must present themselves at the airport of departure for check-in at least the number of hours before the scheduled departure of flight on which passenger holds a reservation. It is obvious non-attendance of the passengers at the airport at the scheduled time, is considered as flight cancellation from their side, and the carrier has no responsibility in this connection. It is noted that passengers may refund their tickets based on the terms and conditions applicable after deducting the relevant charges.
Passengers’ minimum check-in time for domestic flights is 90minutes and 3 hours for international flights before departure as indicated on the tickets.
Flight departure will not be delayed for passengers who arrive too late and the carrier has no liability in this respect. Taxes established by the government, are collected for air transport as indicated by law. Thus, they may include a remarkable amount of ticket fare for air transportation; which is shown on the ticket fare as a whole or separately. Therefore, passengers are required to pay all the taxes which are imposed after ticket issuance.
Carriage of dangerous goods in carry- on baggage or checked baggage is prohibited.
Baggage containing any kinds of valuable items including: gold, jewelry, laptops, cell phones, cameras, important documents, money in cash and also drugs, perishables inside checked baggage is prohibited and the carrier accepts no liability and claims thereof. It is very clear that the carrier’s responsibility of the checked baggage is subject to the rules and regulations in respect of missing, weight deduction or damaged baggage.
Denied boarding by overbooking
Despite the carrier’s utmost endeavor to provide passengers with confirmed seats it’s never guaranteed to have available seats on the flight but if the passenger is not boarded within the specified period despite confirmed seats because of lack of available seats, the process of compensation is based on the prevailing executive rules and regulations of the carrier, whose details exist at the company’s sales office.
Conditions of Contract
Ticket (Paper/Electronic): is a document of a binding agreement between the passenger and the carrier in the form of a paper or an electronic receipt or an itinerary wherein the terms of the contract are written.
Carriage: the equivalent to the term transportation
Carrier: The air carrier issuing the ticket and carrying or undertake to carry the passenger and /or his baggage hereunder or to perform any other services related to such air carriage.
Law: refers to the law and regulations of the Iranian Airlines Companies Liabilities approved by the Islamic Consultative Assembly in 1391 corresponds with the year 2012.
Warsaw Convention: Iran joined the Warsaw Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Transportation by Air, concluded at Warsaw, Poland, October 12, 1929,or that Convention as amended by the Hague Protocol ,September 28,1955 ,as approved in 1354 corresponds with the year 1975.
Transportation and other services carried out regarding the conditions are bound to legal regulations and limits as described below:
Conditions of Ticket
Carrier Tariffs and Instructions
Carrier’s terms and conditions are a portion of this contract, excluding point to point transportation within US territory and Canada whose details are subject to their countries’ rules and procedures, available in the carriers’ sales offices.
The carrier’s name can be abbreviated on the ticket. The airlines’ full names along with their abbreviations are written in the tariffs, carriage conditions, flight schedules too.
Stopover points, points indicated on the tickets are according to the carrier’s flight schedule. To this agreement passengers and baggage may be carried by several carriers, are regarded as one flight.
Any carrier issues tickets on another carrier’s flights, is considered as their representative.
Any carrier’s exclusions or liabilities applied to the staff, agents or any legal entities or individuals whose aircraft used for transportation purposes, are regarded as their representatives, staff and agents as well.
Baggage delivery and claims
To this agreement baggage is delivered to the person holds the baggage tag. The basis to calculate baggage damage is the weight registered on the tag. Please note that the maximum weight for each package is 23 Kilos. Iran Air has no responsibility in respect of baggage zip tearing, locks breaking, wheels and handles damage or over weight. Iran Air also has no responsibility for the damaged handbags that passengers take with them on the flights because of overweight or volume whereby to be taken to the aircraft hold. The limited release tags are used for the baggage which is different from the other tags. In the event of baggage damage, passengers must claim against the airline in written form. Obviously, after the claim expiration deadline the carrier has no liability as described below: In the event of baggage damaged, claim must be made at maximum 7days after receiving the admitted baggage.
In the event of delay for admitted baggage carriage, maximum 21 days from the date of delivery of baggage by the carrier. Responsibility of the carrier respecting types of baggage damage is:
In case of damage, missing and delay of baggage carriage, regarding the procedures concerned, maximum $20 is paid per kilo. The carrier concerned accepts no responsibility and claims in respect of cash, gold, jewelry, fragile goods, valuable items and perishables. The ticket is valid for one year from the date issue unless otherwise indicated by the carrier. As agreed the carriage fare is only changed before the flight departure. Obviously, failure to pay the ticket fare, the carrier is authorized to refuse the passengers and their baggage carriage.
In the event of unused ticket (fully or a portion of it) for any reasons by the bearer may refund it at maximum of 18 months from the date issue respecting the terms and conditions concerned. After the expiry date it will be null and void and has no financial value.
The carrier undertakes to carry out its utmost attempt for carriage of the passengers and their luggage as well. Regarding the change of flight schedule time or other times indicated on the ticket, there is no guarantee and is not reflected as part of this agreement. The carrier on its own may change /ignore airlines or aircraft or stopovers designated for the flight without prior notice, if required. Flight schedules may change or cancel without prior notice and Iran air has no liability for the flight change or cancellation.
The carrier has the right to reject ticket sale to a passenger who has had misbehavior on the previous flights of carrier or other carriers. The passengers are required to observe all the governmental requirements and take all the necessary documents of the travel with them. The authenticity of the documents is responsibility of the passengers themselves. Any loss to the carrier as of non-valid documents, the respective passenger(s) will be charged by the carrier concerned.
Under no circumstances, staff, agents or representatives of the carrier are permitted to make changes, alterations or ignore the agreed terms and conditions.
The ticket bearer while knowing what is mentioned on the ticket, under any circumstances, will foreclose any claims here regarding the liabilities of the carrier.

1- While booking for passengers, to avoid inevitable problems it is advised to enter passengers’ names /family names the same as the ones entered in their birth certificates. Any discrepancy of ID is the responsibility of the passengers. Change name is not possible after ticket issue.
2- This system cannot be used for charter flights.
3- The passengers request for discount tickets (Martyrs’ families, staff, the war disabled and the disabled of Welfare Organization) shall refer to Iran Air Ticket Sales Offices.

7- All Iran Air domestic flights depart from Terminal 2 at Mehrabad airport. Therefore, Passengers should be at the airport 90 minutes before departure.
8- On domestic flights with delays over 2hours, Iran Air will fully refund passengers tickets fares.
On flights with delays over 4 hours, passengers are entitled to receive a ticket with 30% discount on the same route by referring to Iran Air Ticket Sales Offices.

J Class refund: Any change or refund from the date of issue before 12AM a day prior to departure, 20% of the ticket
coupon fare will be deducted. After 12AM a day before departure, 40% of ticket coupon fare will be deducted .Baggage allowance for J class passengers is 30KG.
C Class refund: Any change or refund from the date of issue before 12AM a day prior to departure, 20% of the ticket coupon fare will be deducted. After 12AM a day before departure, 40% of ticket coupon fare will be deducted. Baggage allowance for C class passengers (adult and child) is 30KG.

Q Class refund: Any change or refund from the date of issue before 12AM a day prior to departure, 30% of the ticket coupon fare will be deducted. After 12AM a day before departure, 60% of ticket coupon fare will be deducted. Baggage allowance for Q class passengers (adult and child) is 20KG.
M Class refund: Any change or refund from the date of issue before 12AM a day prior to departure, 30% of the ticket coupon fare will be deducted. After 12AM a day before departure, 60% of ticket coupon fare will be deducted. Baggage allowance for M class passengers (adult and child) is 20KG.
N Class refund: Any change or refund on this class is not permitted and no ticket fare will be refunded. Baggage allowance for N class passengers (adult and child) is 20KG.
***Infant baggage allowance in all classes is 10Kg.

Notes on international flights
1- While making a booking for passengers, to avoid inevitable problems it is advised to enter passengers’ names /family names the same as the ones entered in passports. The passengers who have two passports, one Iranian and one foreign during making reservation, Iranian names should be entered first and then foreign names. e.g.: in the event, passenger’s name is: BABAK and his family name:KIANI and also passenger’s name and family name in foreign passport is NIKOLAS KENTH the names should be entered as this:
LAST NAME: KIANIKENTH
*Name change is not possible after ticket issue.
2- Observing travel rules and regulations and also holding passports and valid visas are the passengers’ responsibilities. If needed, contact Iran Air passport and visa’s office Tel:+9851007441.
*Passengers’ passports shall be valid at least for 6 months before the date of travel.
*To issue single trip tickets one of the following is required:
A. Holding destination country passports.
B. Holding residency permit
C. Holding visa valid for over 6months or having Schengen visa type D.
* In the event, the passengers purchase their outbound tickets from Iran Air and their inbound tickets from another airline(as two separate tickets), presenting both tickets at the check-in counter of airport is mandatory.
*Passengers holding limited visa validity, are required to observe the visa validity period.
3- Passengers interested to enjoy Iran Air discounts such as senior citizens (over60years), university students professors etc should go to the Iran Air offices in person.
*University students staying abroad for ticket issue may only go to the Iran Air Sales offices.

Since return tickets fares are cheaper than one way tickets fares, in case of refund for an unused sector of the route, refund charge for the sector will be the highest fare of the relative class. Please note if the passenger is No-Show on the second sector that charge will be applicable too.
– No –Show charge applies for the passengers kept their confirmed bookings without cancelling them on scheduled time and fail to the check-in by the official time at the airport. Please note cancellation deadline is 24hours prior to departure or else passengers will have to pay charges.
– E class Is not refundable & reroute able or date change . Baggage allowance for the E class is 30 Kg .
– No-Show fee for L class is IRR2,600,000 and change date fee is IRR1,000,000.Refund fee is IRR2,000,000.Baggage allowance for the L class is 30Kg too.
